Discos de sempre (1) - The Dark Side Of The Moon, Pink Floyd

Eis alguns discos que tocam há muito tempo e tocarão sempre no meu iPod.

E para começar, o primeiro disco que me lembro de ouvir e gostar ainda era eu bem miúdo. Na realidade, nem era disco, era na versão "cassete". Se bem que mais tarde comprei o vinil e, claro está, o CD.

Gosto de todo o disco, de o ouvir de uma só vez, mais do que ouvir músicas isoladas, mas para mim, o momento alto é a música 8, "Brain Damage", onde aparece o verso que dá nome ao album e pela combinação do som e da letra, em particular a parte em que diz que "there's someone in my head but it's not me"... Como às vezes compreendo bem esta parte!

The great gig in the sky

Morreu ontem Richard Wright, teclista dos miticos Pink Floyd e criador, entre outras, de uma das músicas mais emblemáticas do grupo que titula este post. Porque me acompanhou desde a mais tenra juventude, nomeadamente os seus albuns "The Dark Side of the Moon" e "The Wall", deixo aqui a minha sentida homenagem.

Sinto que nos próximos tempos terei de fazer várias vezes homenagens deste género a alguns artistas que têm preenchido a minha vida. Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones entre outros, são sexagenários, quase septuagenários por vezes, que ainda andando pelos palcos e estúdios nos idos de 70 e 80 já começavam a povoar o meu imaginário musical e cujas vidas, que não as carreiras, estarão a chegar a um final apoteótico...
